Transparent Image Background Filler

Fill transparent areas of an image with a solid color.

How to use Transparent Image Background Filler

  1. Choose one or more PNG or WebP images that already contain transparency.
  2. Enter a solid HEX background color and select PNG or JPG output; set JPEG quality when using JPG.
  3. Fill the transparent areas, inspect the result, and download the converted image files.

What this tool does

This composites transparency; it does not remove a background.

Example

A transparent logo exported as JPG with background #ffffff is composited over white because JPG cannot store transparent pixels.

Frequently asked questions

Does this remove a background from an ordinary photo?

No. It puts a chosen solid color behind existing transparency. It does not identify or remove the background of an opaque photo.

Can I keep transparency in the output?

Choose PNG to retain alpha where it remains in the image. Choosing JPG composites the image onto the selected color; animated input is reduced to a still frame.
